A Love Letter To My Dear Husband

My dearest Tony,

I know it might seem strange that I am writing a letter to you and posting it!  But, I think you know the significance of this simple act.  I don’t always make it known of how much I deeply love you, so, I want everyone to know my feelings for you on Valentine’s Day!  Why are you so special to me?  The obvious answer would be that you are my husband and I love you.  But, even more than that, I see Jesus in you.  Let me explain in my simple love letter.

Let’s go back 13 years…..

As a single parent with a three year old daughter, you loved me still and took us both in.  You became a parent and a father all at once!  I am so grateful and in that act of love and compassion, I saw a glimpse of Jesus in you.

Being married before to a very cruel person, I came into our marriage with many scars.  You did not see those scars.  You saw me.  You overlooked what I was carrying into our relationship and was committed to making it work.  You did not falter.  I saw a glimpse of Jesus’ steadfast love in you.

And now….

Throughout our marriage, you showed me how to be a friend to all.  You showed me how to overlook offenses when we were being wronged.  You were never one to jump in and start an unnecessary battle, but, you waited until anger subsided.  I saw a glimpse of Jesus’ forgiveness in you.

Your quiet actions sometimes go unnoticed.   Your rational thoughts can sometimes be overlooked.  But, I notice.  Your wisdom is simple, not complicated, and I am humbled by it at times!   When I make situations more difficult, you bring my attention back in focus. I see a glimpse of His wisdom in you.

When we lost our two precious boys, I know it was hard for you.  Being the husband and father, you weren’t sure at times how to grieve.  But, you let me lean on you, sometimes desperately.  You were so caring and compassionate!  When I was engorged with no little one to nurse, you saw right through me, my hurt, my pain.  Without any words spoken, you drew me close into a gentle embrace.  I felt Jesus’ arms around me.

What have I done to deserve such a wonderful man?  Your steadfast love and commitment are such a blessing to me.  Our marriage is stronger because of this and is unshakable, unbreakable and has and will stand, forever.

You, dear Husband, are my forever love.

Jesus shines through you in more ways than you realize.   I am so grateful!

I love you always.

  1. Susie, that was beautiful and such a wonderful way to honor your husband! I pray that you, my two special friends, have many memorable years together–that the Lord would bless you both richly and your love would grow stronger with each year.

    Many blessings…

  2. What a lovely way to honor both your husband and the Lord for the love both have for you! I was also a single mom long ago and was blessed by the Lord with a godly, patient, loving, caring, long-suffering man to be both my husband and the father to my son. Isn't the Lord simply amazing?!!

    Blessings to you and yours!

    Lisa 🙂

  3. I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me. About a year ago I my partner split up, we had both made BIG mistakes in our relationship. He ended up moving away from me to pursue a new life. I knew in my heart that he would be the only one to make me happy. I was relieved when I found your email on a site about what you have done. I requested 1 to 2 day casting of the reunite us love spell and within 3days mark company had relocated him back to our hometown where I still lived. We immediately reconnected and move in with each other. Our wedding date is set for November 2012. Expect to see your invite in the mail thanks to upesaspelltemple@yahoo.com

  4. I am just now seeing this but I wanted to comment and say what a precious letter to your husband. I am humbled by your gratefulness to your husband. I need to be more grateful of my own. He and I have been through a lot together in our almost 19 years of marriage. I can't believe we've been married that long! 🙂

And on a side note, I just love your curly hair! My 15 yo daughter has curly hair just like yours. Very pretty! I'd love to know how you care for it to get the curls to keep their shape and not get frizzy.

    Blessings,
