It’s time to feature a new blogger as promised! As a Christmas gift, I offered a free featured post for those who have a homebased business and/or blog. These featured posts will be scattered here and there throughout the year on Our Simple Farm. My hope is that you will visit these bloggers and their websites!
Those who partook of this offer wrote a short introductory of what their website is all about. Without further ado, meet Jamie at Prepared to Eat!
Hi! I’m Jamie, wife to my beer brewing husband Dan and stay at home mom to our four children. Aaron is my oldest and is always an eager helper. Ray is my super smart boy who can always be found playing in the back yard. Joe is our comedian, but is also always thinking deeply about things. Bee is our little girl who is maybe even more adventurous than her three brothers.
We have lived on our little mini farm for over four years and are constantly looking for ways to use our land to feed ourselves and our animals. Our animals currently consist of dogs, cats, a flock of chickens, a goat, and rabbits. We hope to add sheep in the not so distant future. And a steer if I can talk the hubby into it.
Prepared to Eat is a food/prepper/homestead type of blog. Here I hope to:
- Share some yummy recipes that are often easy to make in advance of supper time.
- Give advice on learning how to home can foods.
- Show you my menu plans, which might give you a good place to get some ideas for yours.
- Discuss ways to prepare your home for future food needs in times of trouble.
- Offer some challenges for you and me to do better work.
Prepared to Eat has monthly menu plans and printables along with other yummy looking recipes. Jamie also has a preparedness link where she shares first aid necessities along with emergency preparedness and long term food storage options. There is also a section on home canning.
Head on over to Prepared to Eat a take a look around. I’m sure you will find some very useful information and great recipes!
